I think this book is a good place to start studying for the math portion of the GRE; it does a good job of introducing most of the content you can expect to see on the test (didn't cover interest rates which was on my exam). However, I found the practice problems in this book to be much easier than the actual test questions. So, for anyone looking for challenging practice to attain a really competitive score or to improve their current score this book might not be right for you. I worked through this book after my first attempt at the GRE, and, despite solving most of the problems in this book with ease, my score did not improve the second time I took the test. I definitely wouldn't call this a one-stop guide to "conquering" the quantitative portion of the GRE. I misunderstood. If you have the princeton review GRE book it encapsulates all of this. I was expecting this to be just a compilation of practice problems and explanations of the answers. This goes step by step through the differwnt types of problems and gives you practice sets for each. Then the end is two problem sets like the ones you will see on the Gre. It's helpful and has quite a few practice problems. I just wanted a different format.
